How it works

1. Pick a prefix. Your ticker, a word, your initials. 1 to 5 characters.

2. Your browser grinds the key. It tries millions of random mint keys until one starts with your prefix. The key never leaves your device.

3. Launch on pump.fun. You approve once in your wallet and the coin goes live with your etched CA.

Questions

Is it still a pump.fun coin?

Yes. ETCH only chooses the mint address. Your coin is created on pump.fun and trades there like any other: same bonding curve, same migration.

Who holds the mint key?

Only you, and only for a moment. It's generated in your browser, used once to sign the pump.fun create transaction, then thrown away. It's never sent to ETCH. pump.fun removes mint and freeze authority at launch, so the key has no power over your coin afterward.

What does it cost?

0.01 SOL per launch, plus pump.fun's normal costs and any dev buy you choose. ETCH takes 30% of your coin's pump.fun creator fees and you keep 70%. The split is set when your coin launches and pump.fun locks it, so it can't change later. The launch fee is only sent after your coin is created.

Why do some prefixes take longer?

Each extra character is about 58× more work. The first letter matters too: Solana addresses start with some letters far more often than others, so the launch page shows the real odds for your exact prefix.

Which characters can I use?

Digits 1–9 and letters, except 0, capital O, capital I and lowercase l. Matching is case-sensitive unless you turn on "any case", which is much faster.
